Interpodia has been working towards adding another payment processing partner, PaySafe, that will launch on all Interpodia platforms spring 2024.
For several years Interpodia has offered clients to use WePay or Stripe for payment processing. The motivation for adding another payment processor included; improving the account onboarding process, accepting more payment methods, more streamlined checkout experiences, improved support and reporting.

“Our customers rely on being able to offer split payments where one membership or registration consists of separate fees that are paid to multiple organizations at the same time. When we originally introduced WePay and Stripe to Interpodia platforms only a few payment processors could support these needs and WePay and Stripe were most suited. We are pleased to finally announce PaySafe as a new integrated payment processor option as this brings many benefits to our existing customers that are utilizing the existing payment processors. This addition is well timed because JP Morgan Chase has announced that they will shutdown the WePay platform this summer.” – Phil Mowatt – Interpodia CEO
Transitioning to a new payment processor is something the Interpodia team has experienced before and we do not expect this to cause unnecessary inconvenience. The PaySafe system integrates with Interpodia’s platforms in the same way as WePay and Stripe do, but the onboarding experience and support is significantly better with PaySafe.
During the month of May 2024, all Interpodia customers who are currently using the WePay platform will receive email communications from Interpodia with specific details on what is needed for the switch to PaySafe. We are excited about the improvements and benefits this change will bring. Interpodia’s support team will be here to answer any questions and ensure a smooth transition.
With WePay deciding to close its doors, we shall prioritize this for Interpodia customers currently using WePay, who will no longer be able to process new payments using WePay after July 1, 2024. Current WePay customers will still have direct access to their WePay dashboard until January 10, 2025 to support deposits to customer bank accounts, refunds, and chargebacks.
