Overview
World Champion and three-time Olympic medalist, Kaetlyn Osmond, grew up skating competitively in Newfoundland and Labrador. Informed by her own coaching and competitive experiences, Kaetlyn decided she wanted to give back and inspire young skaters in her province. To achieve this, she formed Off The Rock; a skill development camp aimed at helping young skaters reach their full-potential. Balancing a very busy schedule, Kaetlyn and her team needed a figure skating registration system that was flexible, easy to setup, and user-friendly for her skaters. About Off The Rock Skating
Kaetlyn Osmond is a retired Olympic and World Champion figure skater who has since spent time performing across Canada in the Rock the Rink tour, and is now preparing to study Journalism. With Off The Rock, she wanted to offer three camps throughout the year, giving young skaters an opportunity to train and improve upon their skills between each session. These camps would be held in multiple locations across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Holding camps across multiple locations, and tracking skater progress while balancing the busy schedules of Kaetlyn and her team is a lot to coordinate. With all of these elements in play, Kaetlyn knew she had to focus on training and skater development which meant Off The Rock needed a figure skating registration system that would effectively support administrative tasks in the background. The Situation

The Solution

Soon they were training eager and happy skaters at multiple locations across the province. Kaetlyn says, “Knowing the skaters ages and competition results was very beneficial because it helped in choosing skaters. It was all very organized so it was easy to keep track of the successes.” Under the guidance of Kaetlyn and her team, Off The Rock has already seen numerous talented, hardworking and successful skaters, with plenty more to come.
